After the success of our Summer Village we are delighted to announce our first winter Gathering

5 days in community immersed in nature

Between February 13th - 17th, we invite you to join us at The Village Winter Gathering, around the hearth fire, for 5 days of emergent and deeply nourishing exploration with intimacy, depth and connection.

The hearth fire is the soul of any Village community. During our time together we will move as one ecosystem, each becoming the kindling that keeps the tendrils of the fire ablaze. 

We will gather in the Lake District, the land of lakes, mountains and saltmarshes. Where the Irish Sea winds join us with all her music.

We will nest together in a beautiful Grade II listed YHA building on the edge of Esthwaite Waters, surrounded by exquisite landscape for walking, playing and exploring. 

Winter asks us to rest deeply and turn inward. To hibernate and dance with the darkness.

These journeys are very often walked alone, and for good reason.

But there comes a point where our stories are to be woven together in fragments of texture and colour to form an eternal tapestry that we hang at the heart of our hearth.

These are the stories of women, children, men, elders and ancestors.

These are the stories of The Village.

Our Winter Village will be a rich and organic co-creation to remember, revive and return to unconditional love.

We will linger in the soft, gentle and quieter spaces together, engulfed in the warmth of blankets and one another's care.

A place to hold and be held.

Come journey with us through the imaginal and dreamy realms.

Sit beside your brothers and sisters around The Village fire.

Come share the echoes of myth, your unique song and forgotten tales.

Together we move through the stories that keep us stuck.

We have booked this gorgeous manor house next to a lake for us all to nourish ourselves in community

All is welcome. In whatever way you choose to be, the loving embers of the Village hearth will be here,

holding you.

The schedule will include fewer workshops to our Summer Village so that we may be with the sweetness of Winter and flow with the rhythm of drums, songs and stories, heart and hope.

The theme of the workshops will honour Winter’s darkness, feminine descent and silence between the words.

While there will be invitations to join in The Village ways, you may desire solitary practice to meditate, muse, meander and move.

Food

Sharing food is something we are so passionate about at The Village.

We believe that when bellies are nourished and we feel nurtured, we can drop deeper together and allow the healing to happen organically.

We cook together, we bless the food, we always source seasonal and organic food as much as possible.

All food will be vegan.

For the Winter Village we are happy to offer all the main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) included in the ticket price.

Drinks and sweet treats will be priced separately.

We will of course be offering some of our most beloved Village traditions: 

  • We will be cooking three nourishing meals every day using seasonal and organic produce (all main meals included)

  • There will be lovingly crafted and warming ceremonial cacao and other natural elixirs and fresh juices

  • Intimacy Temples running into the dark of night

  • Nature immersion - walk in forest

  • Portals of creative expression including open mic, karaoke and fire jams

  • Healing circles to meet our grief and pain with love, compassion and acceptance 

  • Charlie’s Apothecary offering natural medicine and iridology

  • Embodiment, Somatic Practices and more, woven into the 5 days.

  • Yoga and Meditation

  • Wooow what a beautiful weekend. I Felt maybe even for the first time in my life…. Valued for my presence at a festival gathering setting which is a big statement to say. Valued and also welcomed, and part of something. I’m usually the lone warrior and also don’t feel seen for what I offer in this life as much as I’d like to… being in the village I was able to recall a past life where I had rejected the village and gone off in the forests on my own to thrive. It’s a big theme for me and without going into the depths of past life regression, astrology and all the rest I can say I felt this time unlocked a feeling of ‘its possible’ to feel loved in a group. Pricing

We want to make these wellness events accessible for all. We always offer a sliding scale so you can choose how much you can afford to join us. The lower price covers our costs, anything more you can give allows us to continue running these gorgeous events for the community.

Accommodation

We will be staying at YHA Hawkshead in the Lake District. It is a beautiful historic building right next to a gorgeous lake.

The beds are simple bunk beds in dorms, so we will all get our own beds.
There are plenty of showers and toilets throughout the building.

We feel it will be so lovely to share space with one another and live together for a bit in Village Consciousness.
It will be a great chance to deepen relationships with one another.
