Navigating a Kundalini Awakening

Holding Space for a “safe” Kundalini Awakening

The fabled Kundalini.

An energy that will blow your ego into Oblivion.

The Serpent that resides at the base of the spine, lying dormant, until that sacred moment when your reality implodes into itself.

We've all felt glimpses of this...

A good orgasm.

A delightful meal.

Popping MDMA and raving to drum and bass? That'll do it.

When it rises, your 6 senses explode.

Colours go HD in front of your weeping eyes

You can hear the hum of the Cosmos

You can taste bliss

Touch is ecstatic

You can smell the daffodils in a new way

Your intuition becomes sharp as a blade.

Heck, you'll even find joy at the washing up sink!

But the key is to sustain the energy.

I don't care much for peak Kundalini tidal waves anymore

I want those juicy endorphins to drip drip drip from my Pineal Gland all day, every day.

Endless Bliss

Infinite Oneness

The Living God

The Breathing Goddess

Kundalini is your creative potential, constantly expanding

Your throbbing sexual energy

Your pulsating life force

Your undulating spine

Thing is, the more you TRY to awaken it, the less likely it will.

All you can do is provide a fertile environment and surrender into the unknown.

I had an unsafe Kundalini Awakening.

The energy shot through me like electricity and my mind shattered into fragments.

It was perfect of course.

But still, I don't recommend it

Cause I might not have returned to sanity if not for my Mum holding space for me (more on that in my next post!)

Since then, I've been awakening (mostly!) with grace, steadiness, and containment.

And I hold space for others to do the same.

We need to prep the nervous system, our battery, before charging it full of electricity.

To Earth the energy and avoid short-circuiting.

Although, once the awakening starts, all we can really do is breath deep, get a daily practice to regulate our nervous systems, and hold on for dear life.

Oh and reach out for tons of support in community...

And, if possible, steer clear of any drugs

RIDING THE KUNDALINI WAVES

Here's a few of my top tips when holding space for yourself and others before, during and after a Kundalini Awakening...

BEFORE

- Strengthen the nervous system:

Qi Gong, Kundalini Yoga, any physical exercise.

- Detox the body:

Juice cleanses, colonics, fasting, 40 day green diet. Avoid refined sugar, caffeine, alcohol and drugs.

- Learn grounding techniques:

Barefeet on Earth. Hug trees. Visualise energy moving downwards. Eat root veg, ginger, garlic, onions and other wholesome food. Toning sound.

- Develop a deep knowledge of your trauma and addiction patterns.

- Work on Root Chakra stuff. Security, safety, embodiment, home, money.

- Build a support network to surround you and listen to trusted ones.

DURING

~ Wrap head with natural material. Turban is best as you can get some pressure on the cranial bones which helps to regulate the pineal gland secretions. Cotton scarf or beanie could work too.

~ Drink carrot and ginger juice every morning.

~ Rub crushed garlic on feet before bed.

~ Take saltwater baths.

~ Breath into belly whenever you remember.

~ Stay aware of your feet on the Earth. Bring awareness to Root Chakra at the base of the spine.

~ Call on guides/angels/ascended masters for protection and easeful journeying.

~ Remind yourself of grounded real things

~ Listen to others who can see from a different angle.

~ If the body isn't too sensitive, some massage/bodywork/reiki could help.

~ Eat 3 meals a day.

~ Sleep well.

~ Pray.

AFTER

∆ Commit to steady, daily practice:

Yoga and Meditation, Breathwork, Cold Showers, Running, Nature Connection, Journaling, Dance, Shaking, EFT etc.

∆ Find Kundalini expert/Teacher and ask for guidance.

Work and talk with others to integrate your experience.

∆ Commit to a creative project to channel the energy into.

∆ Build solid relationships. Work on toxic relationships.

∆ Develop a nice structure and routine to your days.

∆ Work on your auric field to avoid leaky energy and hyper-sensitivity. Develop your boundaries.

∆ Continue rooting out and embracing your shadow.

∆ Continue exploring your traumas and finding healing through your relationships.

∆ But most of all, remember to

ENJOY LIFE as that's all we are here for anyway.

My mission is to provide people with a wholistic, inner route to Daily Joy.

I hold Sacred Spaces attuned to deep authentic joy and Truth. Whilst also recognising that sustainable joy can only come from a healthy balance of self-love, commitment, surrender and boundaries.

I have a deep love for creating harmonious relationships, breakdancing, freestyle jamming, playing guitar, building community, chanting and taking my clothes off and jumping into freezing cold rivers.
